Masaki Yamabe was born in Tokyo in 1977.
Graduated from Hosei University, the Department of Electronics and Information, Faculty of Engineering, in 2001.
Graduated from the Gifu Institute of Advanced Media Arts and Sciences (IAMAS) in 2003.
After graduating, he worked at a graphics design office and founded AlliancePort, a design firm that specializes in UI/UX design in 2006.
In 2017, he transferred all of his shares to another business and left the company. Currently, he is enrolled in the doctoral course at Keio University Graduate School of Policy and Media and is engaged in the visualization of big data, and joint research and the production of arts with other companies and research institutes on themes such as media technology and societal information.
He has been in charge of programming and design lectures at Tokyo University of Arts, Tama Art University, and Keio University, and conducts other educational activities.
He is a co-writer of “Introduction to Data Visualization Programming” and a member of Information Processing Society of Japan, the Visualization Society of Japan, and the Japan Society for Graphic Science.
